Last Chance

For anyone crazy enough to want to sign up for the Jay Marathon (~33 Miles), the sign up deadline is June 1st. We already have 5 nutters signed up (Kevin, Keith, Jamie, Scott & Oliver).

RoadRunner Clothing

Just short note to let everyone know that James Rooney will be taking orders for RoadRunner clothing. More details to come regarding style/design, but it is expected to be for long sleeve tees and singlets. Prices will be dependant on the number of shirts ordered, but at least this time the minimum order is 4 and we can order male & female shirts.

Big Weekend for RoadRunners

This past weekend saw RoadRunners taking part in 2 events across the country. The majority were off to Ottawa for the Ottawa Marathon and Half. A lot of great times were had. The highlight was Brendan Kavanagh settign a new PB with a 3:03 Marathon. In Saskatoon 4 RoadRunners had great results in very windy conditions. Kevin O'Neill tied his PB in the Marathon (2:57) in coming 3rd overall, Keith Lascelles was 10th in 3:11 and Eric Jackson was 12 in 3:13. But Nancy Chong won the women's division in 3:18.

Colleen Lantz Memorial Run4Youth


Saturday August 9, 2008 marks the 1st annual Colleen Lantz Memorial Run 4 Youth, a 10km run; 5km walk or run; and a 1km fun run. This event honours the memory and the passion for running of a very special friend, sister, daughter, mother and wife, Colleen Lantz.

The Races take place in Neustadt, s/o Hanover.

Big Weekend of Races Coming Up

This coming weekend is probably the biggest weekend of the spring for races. There are a lot of RoadRunners going to Ottawa for the Marathon & Half Marathon, which as usual tends to be the biggest attraction in Ontario at this time of year. Also Eric Jackson, Nancy Chong, Kevin O'Neill & Keith Lascelles are to Saskatoon to run the 30the edition of the Saskatchewan Marathon. For the Trail Lovers there is the Sulphur Springs trail races (10Km, 25Km, 50Km, 50 Mile, 100 Mile & 100 Mile Relay) with something for everyone.
