Ontario Cross Country Championships

On Sunday November 16th the Ontario Cross Country Provincials took place at Sunnybrook park in Toronto and on what was reported as a nice and muddy course our own Nancy Chong placed first in the womens over 45 division. Way to go Nancy!

JFK 50 Mile

This coming weekend sees Kevin O'Neill and Keith Lascelles travelling to Boonsboro, Maryland to attempt their first 50 mile race, the JFK 50 MIle Race. Good luck to both.

When asked by loved ones what your plans are for the weekend, you feel guilty telling them your running another marathon so you tell them "it's only a half this weekend"?

Ontario Masters Cross Country

Some local runners enjoyed a fun day at Sunnybrook Park in Toronto, for the annual Ontario Masters 8k cross country race. The weather was typically cool, and the trails dry. Local award recipients included Nancy Chong from Midhurst, Hellaina Rothenburg from Barrie, and Dawn Hamel from Orillia. These three ladies also took first in their team division. Snowflake Series

The 14th Annual Snowflake Series will be happening again this fall/winter in Orillia. Like last year it is a 4 race series and the information with application can be found here: Snowflake

Angus Glen

A large contigent of RoadRunners were on hand for the Angus Glen Half Marathon this morning with some outstanding results:

Mary Mitchell was 43rd overall and 4th in age group in 1:33
Steen Klint was 4th in his age group in 1:44

Hamilton Marathon results

First of all, congratulations to Brendan Kavanagh who finished the Hamilton Marathon today in a time of 3:05, two weeks after finishing the Indianapolis Marathon in 3:02. Amazing.
Also Jamie Nielsen blew away his PB with a great 3:10.
