Catching Up on Results

While I was away, we had a couple of events with RoadRunners participating. As we've seen on previous posts the Chilly hald took place in Burlington on March 1st. Here are links to the results:

Half Marathon
Half Marathon Walk
Frosty 5k

Also on Sunday the 1st, Roger Ison ran the The Bank of America Marathon in Tampa in horrendous conditions, high winds and torrential rains. But besides this Roger still ran a 3:38 Marathon and finished 6th in his age group.

Quebec Ultimate XC Correction

Previously we had posted an item regarding Jay Vermont edition of the Ultimate XC series being cancelled. In fact the Vermont Editon has been merged with the Quebec Edition that will take place in Mont Tremblant Quebec. Hope this didn't confuse anyone. The Web site can be found here - Ultimate XC
We have a number of runners already signed up and this race is sure to sell out soon.

New York City Marathon

From Catherine Harding:

Does anyone have interest in running the NEW YORK CITY MARATHON? I have access to a great tour that will include accommodations and entrance to the race. There are packages with flights as well OR we can look at car pooling which is usually more economical .. the drive isn't too bad. Please message me on Facebook or at cath.harding@gmail.com ASAP as I will need to let the organizers know how many are interested by Wednesday.

80

That's how many people from Barrie ran the 2009 Chilly Half Marathon in Burlington. I would say an impressive showing. Congratulations to all who ran & made the Barrie Road Runners proud. Congrats to Scott Whynot, Terry MacFarlane, Gary Dorian, Allan Johnston, Cindy Lynch & Rick Johnston. In particular, I'd like to single out Theo Bosch because it's fun to do so. Theo ran a PB 1:37;33 coming in 33 out of 206 in his age group. Theo well deserved. Congratulations!

Chilly Half

This Sunday, March 1st, is the Chilly Half Marathon in Burlington and as usual there are a large number of RoadRunners going to represent Barrie. Good luck to all and have a good time.
I won't be able to update this site until after March 7th as I "have to" take a vacation in the Dominican next week. I'm sure you're all sympathetic.
I will try and update the results here after.
