80

That's how many people from Barrie ran the 2009 Chilly Half Marathon in Burlington. I would say an impressive showing. Congratulations to all who ran & made the Barrie Road Runners proud. Congrats to Scott Whynot, Terry MacFarlane, Gary Dorian, Allan Johnston, Cindy Lynch & Rick Johnston. In particular, I'd like to single out Theo Bosch because it's fun to do so. Theo ran a PB 1:37;33 coming in 33 out of 206 in his age group. Theo well deserved. Congratulations!

  1. Of those 80 people 56 of them took a motorcoach ride to the event. Almost as much fun on the race course as there was on the road trip there and back. Great group of runners who always know how to have a good time.

Weather conditions were just what people were looking for as a finish to their training over this long hard winter. Theo was one of many PB runs that day. Big shout out to Jenny Cooke for not giving up on her goal to be able finish under 2 hours. Yeah baby!

See everyone at the next race!
